Water Polo - Leanne voted best player
Our women's water polo team completed this season's National League Division Two programme last weekend with a convincing 14-5 victory over Hucknall. However, this season we have enjoyed mixed fortunes with a bright start followed by a succession of narrow defeats and draws leading up to the final victory. As a result, we ended the season mid-table compared with second place last year and third the year before.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn at the weekend that Leanne Jennings had been voted best player in the Division by the other clubs. Leanne was our top scorer with 29 goals and, despite now living in Leeds, she completed her 11th consecutive season without missing a single match - a total of 142 matches!
St Martins Pool closure 15-26 Feb
You will have noticed the large number of loose tiles at St Martins school. This has been a long running problem and getting worse recently.
The school have advised us that repairs will be done starting on 15 Feb, and unfortunately this means the pool will be closed while the work is done and the new material sets fully.
All St Martins sessions between these dates are therefore cancelled. We will see if any alternative arrangements can be made and post further news here.

Warwickshire Championships - entries by 15 Jan
Entry forms and details for the Warwickshire championships are now available. The Championships themselves are in March 2010 but entries have to be made through the club in January. So that we can get them through in time, please make sure your form reaches us no later than 15 January.
In some age groups the 100m event is marked as a time trial. There is no separate qualifying time but to enter the 100m you must have the 200m qualifying time and enter that event as well. The 200m times will be used to seed the 100m events.
